Privacy Policy

What this site does — and deliberately doesn’t do — with your data. The one-line summary: the calculators run in your browser, and nothing you type is stored or sent.

The short version

Korea Money Guide is a static educational site. There is no login, no account, and no form that uploads your documents. The calculators run entirely in your browser — nothing you type into them is stored, logged, or sent anywhere.

Calculator inputs stay in your browser

Every calculator and checklist on this site runs locally in your browser. Your inputs (salary, deposit, transfer amounts, quiz answers) are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and they disappear when you leave the page.

Even so, please don’t enter sensitive identifiers — account numbers, resident registration numbers, passwords, or private documents. The tools never need them.

Analytics

The site uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4, which helps us understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited and roughly from where. This involves cookies and similar technologies operated by Google; analytics never sees anything you type into the calculators.

You can block analytics with browser settings or extensions, or with Google’s own opt-out tools. The site works fully without it.

Advertising

The site currently shows no ads. We plan to fund the site with advertising (Google AdSense) in the future. Before any ad appears, this policy will be updated to describe the ad provider, its use of cookies, and — where required (for example, for visitors from the EEA/UK) — a consent banner will be added.

Affiliate links

The site currently contains no affiliate links. If we add them later, each one will be a plain outbound link, disclosed right where it appears, and listed in this policy. An affiliate link never changes what we write: the same sentence stands with or without it, and we never rank or recommend providers.

External links

Pages link to official bodies (NPS, NTS, NHIS, Bank of Korea, Customs and others), banks, and service providers as sources. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices that we don’t control.

Contact & changes

Questions or corrections: contact@koreamoneyguide.com. Please don’t email sensitive personal information — account numbers, ID numbers, passwords, OTPs, or private contracts.

When this policy changes (for example, when advertising launches), the date at the bottom of this page is updated.
